What to Expect at Your Visit
Administration
Entry into our computer system identifies the tooth to be restored, type of restoration and material selection. Notice the highlighted lower right molar.
Acquisition
Our intra-oral camera, the Omnicam, will capture 3-D video in the mouth instead of the need for trays with messy impression material at Advanced Digital Dentist to make CEREC crowns in our Somerville office.
Model
In minutes, virtual models and articulated arches, will appear on the screen, avoiding the need for a temporary crown and trip to an outside dental lab.
Design
Virtual design of a crown allows refining of the anatomy, checking of the bite, thickness of material, and preliminary virtual adjusting.
Manufacture
Our Sirona MC XL milling unit transforms the selected ceramic block into the crown with the use of diamond coated burs
