Preventative care is the key to a healthy smile. Regular checkups allow us to treat issues before they cause discomfort or can require extensive treatment. Discussing your home care routine to improve your daily hygiene is an important phase in maintaining your dental health. Needed dental treatment can be categorized as urgently needed, needing treatment and planned long term treatment. Comprehensive care of your mouth includes the health of your tissue, bone, jaw and teeth. Sometimes, we work with local dental specialist such as the periodontist, orthodontist, endodontist and oral surgeon to coordinate your needed care. Missing teeth can be replaced with implants, bridges or dentures. After completing an exam, treatment options and your individualized treatment plan will be discussed. Restoring and maintaining function as well as improving esthetics may include a treatment plan with cosmetic dentistry as the best course of action. But whether it's elective or for treatment, we'll make sure your smile is healthy and beautiful!
All teeth are different and accidents happen. Whether your teeth are crooked, chipped, damaged or have decay, a clinical exam and our digital diagnostic x-rays can assist us to treat you quickly using the latest techniques and the finest materials. New Flash! We have recently introduced AI technology to our diagnostic digital toolbox.
Digital x-rays require less radiation exposure with the use of sensors rather than environmentally unfriendly film. The clarity of the image and immediate availability provides valuable diagnostic information accurately and quickly. This image shows a large area of decay hidden under an older amalgam filling. The wear on the restoration allows bacteria access to the underlying tooth structure and weakens the remaining enamel. This tooth was restored with our CEREC CAD-CAM technology. All decay was removed and a single visit crown was placed. Undetected and untreated, this decay could have easily caused an abscess when the center nerve becomes infected.
We know that visiting the dentist can be a stressful situation. Our CAD-CAM dental technology provides a safe, comfortable, and time saving environment for our patients. Dr Sloane's experience spans over 20 years in providing single visit dental crown technology. Today, we can restore most fractured teeth and many implants with this amazing 3D system right in our office. No longer wait weeks for the lab to return your crown while you worry about your temporary crown falling off. The milled crown is 100% ceramic, avoiding the dark metal line often visible in the traditional porcelain fused to metal crowns. There is no need for a messy tray impression because we use a camera to scan your tooth and a computer to design your custom crown. While you take a break, your crown is milled from a solid ceramic block. In minutes, the crown is completed. No need to return for a second visit! We take time with each patient, explaining all of our tool, improved efficiency and processes to alleviate any fear!
